Journal of Practical Studies of Biosciences in Sport

Journal of Practical Studies of Biosciences in Sport (JPSBS) is an open access double-blind peer reviewed publication which is published by University of Birjand concerned with new concepts and innovative technologies in "exercise and sport physiology ." JPSBS is a quarterly publication, which publishes original research and Review papers related to journal scope. This journal is following of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and complies with the highest ethical standards in accordance with ethical laws. All submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity through Hamanandjoo (IRANDOC) software to ensure their authenticity to be assured about its originality and then rigorously peer-reviewed by the expert reviewers. The JCST has received the grade of Research Scientific from Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) in 2015 based its former published issues.

 

Financial Policy

Article Processing Charges

The journal is committed to transparency regarding all fees associated with manuscript processing and publication. In accordance with the resolution of the Publications Council of the University of Birjand, the following charges shall apply to manuscripts submitted on or after February 1, 2026 (11 Bahman 1404).

1. Standard Peer Review and Acceptance

The fee for the standard peer-review and acceptance process is 6,000,000 Iranian Rials (IRR) (600,000 Tomans).

- 50% of the fee shall be payable upon registration and submission of the manuscript through the journal's online submission system.
- The remaining 50% shall be payable following the final acceptance of the manuscript.

2. Fast-Track Peer Review and Acceptance

Authors may request the fast-track review process, under which the manuscript will be processed for review within two weeks.

The fee for the fast-track peer-review and acceptance process is 18,000,000 Iranian Rials (IRR) (1,800,000 Tomans).

- 50% of the fee shall be payable upon registration and submission of the manuscript through the journal's online submission system.
- The remaining 50% shall be payable following the final acceptance of the manuscript.

Please note that the fast-track option refers to an expedited review process and does not constitute a guarantee of acceptance or publication. Editorial decisions remain subject to the journal's standard editorial and peer-review criteria.

3. Expedited and Out-of-Schedule Publication

Following final acceptance, authors may request expedited and out-of-schedule publication of their manuscript, subject to the payment of an additional publication fee.

The applicable fees are:

- 40,000,000 Tomans for publication in the first forthcoming issue; or
- 30,000,000 Tomans for publication in the second forthcoming issue.

Manuscripts published under this option will be treated as additional articles and will be added to the articles scheduled for publication in the relevant issue. The publication of such articles will not alter or affect the previously established publication order of accepted manuscripts.

Editorial Independence

Payment of any submission, processing, review, acceptance, or publication fee does not influence editorial decision-making or the outcome of the peer-review process. Manuscripts are evaluated and editorial decisions are made independently on the basis of their academic quality, originality, relevance, and compliance with the journal's editorial and ethical standards.

Subscription Fee
Journal of Practical Studies of Biosciences in Sport (JPSBS) has published as an open access electronic journal, so there is no subscription fee for audiences.
